Here’s the plan:
Exceptional animal care
Everything starts and ends with the animals in our exhibits. As ambassadors for their species, they will receive the best care possible.
Inspire
Through entertaining and educational exhibits, we want to inspire people to care more about the water and aquatic habitats that flow all around them.
Education
Each exhibit at the Ohio Aquarium will be designed to both entertain AND educate. We will also strive to build relationships with local schools and teachers to impact as many students as possible.
Community
The best aquariums in the world do a fantastic job of bringing together the community, including businesses, schools, and many local non-profits. We plan to excel in this area.
Conservation and Research
The core of our existence is conservation. We will display threatened species to help educate and raise funds to help. We will conduct research at the aquarium or sponsor scientists in the field when possible.
Economic Impact
Our hope is that the Ohio Aquarium will provide a huge boost to the local economy. Aquariums have proven to attract both local residents and tourists. Just imagine heading to the Ohio Aquarium, and then hanging out nearby to eat and shop afterwards.
